Very nice product- Was a gift chosen together by my daughter on-line- Later we found out the color wasn't available. No big deal to me but she was disappointed. Too bad as it left a bad taste in my mouth as a color that is not available should'nt be an option. Especially with today's technology. No apologies from them, just said they would return my money or I had to pick a limited available color. Be careful on this issue before ordering.

I was shopping around to help my wife find the right portable scanner to suit her needs. We tried a few different ones and were not satisfied until we found the Vupoint Magic Wand II. Thank God, easy set up and easy to operate, works wonder. I will be ordering another one for myself. You can not go wrong purchasing an item like this.

I have wanted a handheld scanner for a long time, but after the 1990s had given up on it, thinking that the concept was long dead. When I recently saw VuPoint's Magic Wand scanner being used on an episode of "The History Dectectives" (PBS), I was more than just intrigued!
After purchasing one for myself, I am satisfied with the performance, but I was expecting that by now the problems of unsteadiness of the scanning hand might have been solved in the firmware - but not so. Excessive shakiness is picked in the scanned image, so you must be careful. It is still a useable device and I am not suffering from buyers remorse. I actually feel a bit lucky to have found it.
I also got the nice little carrying case in the bundle. I just wish a diagram/picture had been provided as I'm not sure what goes where in the case - I suppose they thought it should be obvious(?). There was also a close-fitting handy cloth pouch to carry the wand around in - nice!
I looked very hard trying to find that USB 3.0 might be available, but alas not offered - yet.
Also worth mentioning is that while studying the product line in order order to find the exact version I wanted, it was very difficult to differentiate one product version from another with a good level of confidence. Even using the VuPoint Product Comparision Chart did not readily answer all nit-noid questions. I think the main "bang-for-buck" issue (among others) was what new feature(s) you get with the Wand II? Just the color LCD display? The 'Wand II' designation was not consistently used in the advertising and the part number is easily confused with the plain version.
Overall I expect this product will be very usful to me and I'm glad to have found it.

The Vupoint Bundle came exactly as described with memory card & case which was not the case when I originally ordered from a different retailer on Amazon.com. This scanner is great as it produces clear photos and documents that look exactly like the originals. The shipping was fast and my email to Customer Service was answered promptly. I was able to change the color and also apply a coupon code with no issues. Thanks for a great shopping experience!

It seems to be working fine. I'm still trying to learn how to use it. Trying to figure out the Abbyy OCR cd. But so far I like it.

This is a wonderful portable scanner. Take it with anywhere to scan anything flat. Quality is excellent. Hope battery life is close to what is estimated (have not scanned over 50 yet).

After brief practice, scanning was a snap for genealogy purposes.

I had so much fun and success with my original wand, but I wished it had a preview option so I knew for sure if I had gotten the scan I wanted. Then, wow, you came up with a version with a preview window. Bought it! I have taken my wand on trips to my relatives and scanned old family pics that are priceless. I also spend much time in doctor's waiting rooms, and scan mag. articles that I can take home and read. I have flatbed scanners, but use my wand everywhere I go...Love it.
